Is Politics Killing us Slowly?

America has gone wild? Now what?

I was born in the United States of America and in all my years watching the news, I have never seen so much death and destruction as I have in the past few years.  The homegrown terrorist attack on innocent church goers and their pastor yesterday is an event that signifies the destruction of a nation.

It seems to me that since Barack Obama has become the President of the United States, all hell has broken loose. Racial tension is at an all time high and as political activist and lawmakers are in discussions to make changes to unjust systems, things are getting worst. The disdain and prejudice America has for the President due to the color of his skin and African background is spilling out all over the country.  The right wants to appeal Obamacare, the left is not as supportive as they could be of their Commander & Chief and this sends out a negative message to all citizens.

Certain politicians (they know who they are) promote fear (real or imagined) and this fear is causing people to commit senseless acts of hatred against one another.  How long can this continue to go on? How can we expect other countries to respect democracy when we in America are failing at it so miserably?  “Land of the free, home of the brave.”  What is brave about shooting people while they are in prayer with their eyes closed?  What is freedom when you cannot go to your house of worship without being gunned down?

American Politics has become an ugly virus that is affecting everyone.  Until our politicians stop seeking selfish interest and start being righteous this country will continue to self-destruct.

That’s my two-cents!
